Capacity Development and Executive Learning
Learning designed around the work your people do.
Generic courses fill seats. Programmes designed around an institution’s real pressures change how people work. We design and deliver training, coaching and retreats for boards, executives, managers and technical teams, drawing on cases and situations they recognise.
When institutions call us
- Officers face new legal, procurement or compliance demands under close public scrutiny.
- Senior leaders need to think strategically about reform, technology or change.
- A board or governing council needs a structured retreat to agree direction.
- Staff across clinical, technical and administrative roles need a shared foundation.
- A programme implementation unit must be ready to deliver a donor-funded project.
What this service involves
We find out what participants need to do differently, design a programme around it and deliver it with experienced facilitators. Every programme comes with its full documentation: agendas, presentations, participant workbooks and completion reports. Where it helps, we pair training with one-to-one coaching for senior leaders.
How we support you
- Tailored training programmes. Programmes for a single institution, built on its own context, documents and challenges.
- Executive coaching and leadership development. Coaching and mentoring for CEOs, boards, senior management teams and emerging leaders.
- Strategic retreats. Planned, resourced and facilitated retreats that move a leadership team from discussion to agreed decisions, with full documentation.
- Curriculum design. Curricula and learning materials for institutions and international programmes, ready to be delivered at scale.
Who we train
Board members and governing councils; executives and senior managers; judges and judicial administrators; procurement, administrative and technical officers; clinical and non-clinical health staff; project implementation unit officers; and the staff of development finance institutions.
Why it matters
Strategies and reforms succeed or fail on the capability of the people who implement them. A well-designed programme gives those people the knowledge, confidence and tools to act, and gives management a documented record of what was covered and how participants responded.
